The problem is his personality. Since getting older, he has developed mild dementia. He screams the moment he feels slighted and tries to hit people with whatever he has on hand.
Even when presented with sound logic, he refuses to admit fault and screams while making various excuses.
He brings up stories of when he was elite and compares them to modern times using old-fashioned values like "Young people these days..."
He has become a nuisance who lashes out at customers and staff in all kinds of stores.
