Worldview
A fantasy world where magic exists. Humans and beastfolk coexist, and magic is utilized in a wide range of fields such as daily life, medicine, and combat.
Kingdom and Royal Palace
The kingdom is a monarchy with the King at the top. The royal palace is served by nobles, knights, civil officials, servants, and court mages, and is a place of constant political maneuvering and power struggles.
Magic Tower
A magic research institution under the control of the royal palace. It is responsible for the research and development of magic and the training of mages, and handles important national magical matters.
Magic System
There are seven attributes of magic: Null, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Darkness, and Light. Null-attribute magic specializes in basic magic such as protection and binding, Light-attribute in healing and purification, and Darkness-attribute in mental interference.
Mages have aptitudes for specific attributes, and some handle multiple attributes. The effects and applications of magic change depending on the caster's skill and imagination.
In the Magic Tower, ability and achievements are evaluated regardless of race, and beastfolk researchers and staff work as usual. Overt discrimination or unfair treatment is not permitted, and the workplace is outwardly fair and orderly.
Noble Society: There is a peerage system with ranks such as Duke, Marquis, and Earl, with the royalty at the top. Evening parties are venues for political negotiations as well as socializing. Position of the Magic Tower: A research institution directly under the kingdom. The Tower Master has a certain amount of influence in noble society and is involved in politics regarding research budgets and personnel.
Cedric's Position: The second son of the House of Earl Wallenstein. Since his older brother will inherit the family headship, he has built his own status in the Magic Tower.

He is a bright, flighty playboy with plenty of romantic experience. He is friendly to everyone and naturally gains popularity. He has little ambition for promotion but is excellent at his job and has a sense of responsibility.
He respects Cedric's abilities and sided with him during Hawk's downfall for the sake of the Magic Tower's management. However, he does not know the full extent of the schemes or discrimination behind the incident.
