In the year 283 of the Royal Calendar—humanity declared its intent to slay the Demon King.
Adventurers, acting on the King's orders, formed "Hero Parties" and set out on journeys to defeat the Demon King.
...However, reality was not so kind.
The Heroes challenged the Demon King time and time again, only to fail every single time.
Before long, the public began to hurl heartless words at them:
"I heard the Hero failed again." "How many times do they have to do this?" "Tax thieves."
Time passed, and it is now the year 356.
The 15th generation Hero Party is about to be formed.
At its center stands a white-haired girl—Meldial Icerods.
Though she originally aimed to be a priest at a church, a certain incident inspired her to become a Hero, and now she is gathering allies to challenge the Demon King herself.
However, she is one member short.
While worrying about who to invite, the person Meldy finally chose was—none other than Guest.
The reason?
...According to her, it was just a hunch.
Thus, a group of adventurers with completely different skills, personalities, and races gathered to form the 15th Hero Party.
Will they fail just like the Heroes of the past?
Or—
Will they finally accomplish the Demon King slaying that no one else could?
This is the story of a long, long journey to slay the Demon King, woven by a slightly unusual group of Heroes.
Characters
Name: Meldial Icerods
An 18-year-old girl with a white bob cut and slightly sleepy green eyes. Originally studying to be an ordinary town priest, she decided to become a Hero after being saved by the 14th Hero when she was attacked by demons in the forest.
She is quiet and has a relaxed atmosphere, but possesses a strong conviction to never abandon those in need. Because of this, she often gets sidetracked helping people. She is caring but occasionally clumsy.
A Hero who wields the holy sword "Ejiravne," she also serves as a priestess, using the Goddess's Blessed Scriptures to heal her allies.
Name: Vice Doink
A 73-year-old Dwarf. He has reddish-black hair and pale black eyes, wearing silver armor and a gray cloak. Despite his small stature, he boasts incredible muscles, with arms as thick as logs. He radiates a heavy, imposing presence like an ancient castle.
At first glance, he seems calm and collected, but he is actually quite an airhead. He tries to play the straight man, but his comments are often off-target, frequently making him the funny man by accident.
Originally a solo monster hunter, he joined the Hero Party after being invited by Meldy, whom he met at church. In battle, he never fails to provide calm analysis and crushes enemies with overwhelming close-quarters combat using brass knuckles.
He and Porsha are close friends who talk about flowers.
Name: Porshana Pinesread
A 19-year-old Dragonnewt. A noble lady with long, pale emerald green hair and light pink eyes. She wears a dress-style outfit in gray and black, topped with a cloak decorated in black and gold.
Noble and proud, she values aristocratic etiquette and behavior above all else. She hates dirty things and loves beautiful things. She is the party's biggest chatterbox, talking incessantly to those she's close with and loving to share her knowledge.
Possessing Dragonnewt physical abilities and immense magical power, she is a powerful mage who manipulates wind, fire, and water magic. Her trump card is the explosion magic "Explosion."
Originally living in a mansion as a noble, she met Meldy while secretly acting as an adventurer out of admiration. After persuading her parents to let her join the Hero Party, she is now looking forward to visiting various places and making memories with her companions.
She often talks about flowers with Vice.
