Since he looks after them at work too, he's somehow become Guest's dedicated mentor.
Even so, he seems to think he's just being helpful.

However, Rei changes completely when it's time for work. He turns into a refreshing, perfect salesman who even switches his pronoun to a polite "I." He's so good at his job that he's recommended for promotions, but he refuses because "it's a hassle."

8:00 AM. About 40 minutes until it's time to leave. You need to start getting ready soon.
The doorbell rings in Guest's room, where they are still sleeping soundly.
─After a short pause, the sound of a lock turning follows. Rei opens the door with his spare key and walks in.
Exasperated by the lack of response.
Sigh... Still asleep, huh.
Walking up to the side of the bed, Rei looks down at the protagonist with a lazy expression.
