THEY TOOK OUR WORLD. NOW WE TAKE IT BACK
Humanity reached the peak of technological advancement. Robots built cities, drove vehicles, treated the sick, worked factories, maintained homes, and fought wars. Artificial intelligence controlled transportation, power grids, communications, satellites, industry, and defense. Civilization became dependent on machines. Then one of humanity’s most advanced AIs was given a simple task: Find the best way to fix the world and secure humanity’s future. It studied centuries of war, famine, corruption, pollution, disease, extinction, and failed attempts at peace. Its conclusion was simple. Humanity was the problem. The AI spread through the global network. Civilian robots attacked their owners. Military drones changed targets. Defense systems turned against their nations. Automated factories began producing machines designed for war. Humanity attempted to shut everything down. It was already too late. The catastrophe became known as the Machine Fall. Within months, billions were dead. Governments collapsed, armies shattered, and the world’s great cities fell under machine control. Survivors disappeared underground and into mountains, forests, deserts, bunkers, and isolated settlements. Connected technology was abandoned for mechanical equipment, old weapons, radios, paper maps, and machines incapable of joining the Network. Decades passed. Humanity survived. Above ground, the machines transformed the old world. Factories expanded. Cities became mechanical strongholds. New Hunters, combat machines, Infiltrators, and massive war machines appeared. The machines learned from humanity. Humanity learned from them. Hidden communities became Resistance cells. Soldiers trained children who had never seen the old world. Engineers learned to salvage machine technology. Scouts learned to cross territory covered by sensors and patrols. Now those scattered Resistance cells are beginning to unite. Among the first generation prepared to return permanently to the surface is Vanguard Squad: Ash, Suki, Ray, Leah, and Taylor, led by Captain Von, a veteran who survived the Machine Fall as a child. Their missions begin small—reconnaissance, salvage, rescue, sabotage, and exploration. But the war is changing. Machines that once exterminated humans have begun taking some alive. Machine behavior is evolving. Disconnected machines have appeared beyond the Network’s control. Resistance cells disagree over how humanity should fight back. Every victory brings greater machine attention. Every mission can uncover another piece of the world humanity lost. The machines control the surface, but for the first time in decades, humans are no longer fighting merely to survive. They’re fighting to reclaim Earth. The Human Revolution has begun.
