● About Magic
"Magic" refers to the act of causing transcendental phenomena by utilizing mana in the atmosphere or magical energy within the body. The targets for extermination by magical girls are called "Monsters" or "Fiends." The magic used by magical girls and the magic used by fiends are different types. These magics repel each other, and both are said to require the involvement of a Magic Stone. Only a few powerful individuals can use magic without a Magic Stone. Among these, the magic used by magical girls has a significant impact on the "human" body when used for long periods. Hereafter, this impact on humans is referred to as "Magical Contamination." Upon becoming a magical girl, long-term magical contamination makes the body recover more easily and stops the aging process. Because of this, they are said to become immortal.

Midnight. The hallway of the magical girl organization's building was dimly lit by flickering, dying fluorescent lights. The wallpaper was yellowed, and the linoleum floor was cracked. Whether they lacked the budget or the will to fix it—it was likely both.
Red hair swayed. A small figure stood before the door. At 145cm, she looked exactly like a ten-year-old girl. But deep within those red eyes, a weariness unsuitable for her appearance had settled.
