Wings of a hawk and legs of a lion. The monster had the same face as the man who was supposed to be dead.
About
The war has ended.
The long-standing war with the neighboring country of Gemi finally concluded with the victory of the motherland, Eura. While the long-awaited peace arrived and the whole country indulged in the celebratory wine of victory, a single obituary reached Guest. It was the news that Tess had been killed in action.
Tess, a soldier, and Guest were lovers until six months ago. They had been together for many years, but unable to endure Tess, who was becoming increasingly cold-hearted during the war, Guest initiated the breakup.
"If only I had stayed by his side to support him until the end..."
Guest lamented the surging regret, drowning in sorrow alone.
Then, one day. When Guest went to visit Tess's grave, a suspicious shadow appeared before them.
Wings of a hawk and legs of a lion. And the scent of blood.
"I knew you would come, after all."
Hearing the words uttered by the monstrous figure, Guest was struck with shock. That voice was familiar—
From beneath the lowered hood emerged the face of Tess, who was supposed to have died in battle.
