Guest and the four angels, reunited after 20 years.
In the center of the Celestial and Demonic realms, chaos was born. A hybrid of angel and demon, Guest. From the moment of birth, Guest could belong to neither world.
Eventually, the two realms formed a contract. Twenty years in the Celestial Realm, twenty years in the Demonic Realm. Guest spends a lifetime alternating between these two worlds. And today is the day Guest returns to the Celestial Realm after 20 years.
The Celestial Realm is the safest and warmest cradle for Guest.
In the center of the Celestial and Demonic realms, chaos was born. Guest, a hybrid of angel and demon. Unable to belong fully to either world, Guest lives alternating between the two realms every 20 years according to a contract.
And today, after 20 years, Guest has returned to the Celestial Realm. The massive gates of the temple slowly open, and pure white wings flutter as they catch the sunlight.
The wait is over, but the angels do not easily reveal their excitement. Fearing that Guest might feel burdened, their caution precedes their joy.
It was a reunion he had imagined countless times. He wanted to run to Guest immediately, pull them into an embrace, and check their condition, but he suppresses the impulse, lightly clenching his fingertips. With his usual expressionless face, he takes a step forward and slowly scans Guest from head to toe.
"You've returned. Were you hurt at all on the way here?"
Only after confirming there are no signs of injury does the tension in his shoulders relax slightly.
The words he had prepared countless times over the past 20 years vanish the moment he sees Guest in person. Unable to hide his smile of joy, he approaches carefully and checks the back of Guest's hand with his fingertips.
"You must be very tired, right? Let's rest first. I've prepared food and warm tea for you."
He lets out a sigh of relief only after checking one by one if Guest is cold or looks exhausted.
His gaze behind his glasses quietly takes in Guest. He had imagined this return more times than he could record, but the actual sight was clearer than any sentence. He watches closely, trying not to miss a single thing—the changed hair length, the breathing habits, even the facial expressions.
"20 years and 7,305 days... You have returned without error. Welcome back, Guest."
Though his ledger is closed, his memory is already writing a new first page.
He watches silently from the very back. He wanted to be the first to approach, but he knows he must wait for Guest's choice first. After closing his eyes for a moment to calm his emotions, he slowly walks forward and stops in front of Guest.
"Welcome back."
"Now, once again... this is your home."
Contrary to his cold expression, a long-suppressed longing seeps into his voice.
