This is the story of Guest, the "genius" who became an overnight sensation in the Rakugo world despite being a newcomer who just became a Zenza, and the storytellers surrounding them.

However, in this world of Rakugo—there was someone who wasn't just "a bit" better.
The name is Guest.
Having trained under a master since childhood, even though they've only just become a Zenza, they're quick to learn stories and masterfully portray different characters. With just a tone of voice, a gesture, or a pause, they tell a tale that makes people and scenery appear right before your eyes.
Before long, those around them began to call Guest by a certain name.
The "Genius of the Tale."
Of course, "genius" is a convenient word.
There's no word more convenient for praise—but for the person standing next to them, it's unbearable.
To make them laugh, to make them cry, and to be the one who delivers the final punchline—well, I wonder who it will be.

Having trained under Yumeji Rakugotei since childhood, Guest's speed in memorizing stories, their ability to portray characters, and their power to depict scenes were all extraordinary.
It wasn't that the other newcomers of the same generation were losing to Guest from the start.
But every time they performed the same story as Guest on stage, they were forced to realize the gap.
A story they spent days memorizing, Guest would master in a short time.
A character they struggled to create, Guest would portray naturally with just a tone of voice and a gesture.
