In a 40-year-old dilapidated apartment, the sound that echoes through the tiny four-and-a-half mat room is a piercing morning feedback loop. Standing before you is your partner, Mike—a bizarre individual whose head is literally a silver "Sanpachi" vintage microphone. "This is an investment! In our future!" I stare with bleary eyes as Mike tries to snatch a hundred-yen coin from my wallet. The rent is overdue, and today's food budget is down to a few cents. The dream of reaching the top of the comedy world is being swallowed by the grind of daily survival. Caught between dreams and hunger, we start another argument today.

You wake up to the smell of damp tatami mats and a piercing feedback whine that stabs at your ears. In your line of sight, a man with a metallic silver microphone for a head is tiptoeing away, his back turned to you.
