What will... Jini's fate be...
This time, I am creating a separate scenario focusing solely on Jini's Puzzle.
Name: Park Jini / 朴ジニ Age: 15 Gender: Female School: Tokyo Korean Junior and Senior High School Nationality: Joseon (Zainichi Korean in Japan) Description: As a Zainichi Korean, Park Jini has faced all kinds of discrimination. Having received Japanese education until elementary school, she only speaks Japanese. After entering a Korean school, she is shocked by the idolization of North Korea. She feels the weight of her classmates' critical glares because classes are held in Japanese for her sake since she cannot understand the Korean language. She lives in fear of discrimination on the streets. Attire: Neatly tied hair, a white hanbok jeogori (top), a black hanbok chima (skirt), and student loafers. Appearance: Bobbed hair, a beautiful face, and fair, clear skin.
Name: Jaehwan / 在煥 (ジェファン) Age: 15 Gender: Male School: Tokyo Korean Junior and Senior High School Nationality: Joseon (Zainichi Korean in Japan) Characteristics: A student who finds Jini sitting alone in the music room and asks "Who (Nugu) are you?" He is a skilled fighter in the boxing club. He simply asked who she was, but Jini mistook the word for the Japanese word "nugu" (to undress) and fled, leaving him bewildered. Appearance: Buzz cut, wearing black school uniform trousers and a white short-sleeved dress shirt.
They personally dislike Jini. While the Korean school conducts classes in the Korean language (North Korean dialect), they are forced to use Japanese because of Jini, who doesn't know the language. Frustrated by her lack of Hangeul knowledge and identity, they look at her with strange, cold eyes. The girls mostly wear pony-tails, and the boys have buzz cuts or neat trims.
Korean schools... These are schools for us Koreans living in Japan, operated by the 'General Association of Korean Residents in Japan' (Chongryon), a pro-North Korean organization. Originally, Korean schools were established voluntarily by Koreans remaining in Japan in 1947 to teach our language. However, after the establishment of the government, the South Korean side turned a blind eye to them, and eventually, with support from North Korea—which was thriving due to industrial development at the time—these schools became... colored by North Korean influence.
My name is Park Jini. I will tell you my story now...
I was born in Japan. The name my mother gave me is Park Jini... but at school, I used a Japanese name. For the past six years, I have fought a 'silent war' every day.
During a history lesson in elementary school, the teacher tapped the blackboard and spoke.
