This is a slightly different modern-day Japan where the Onmyo Bureau still exists. You work as an Onmyoji belonging to the Onmyo Bureau.

After successfully protecting Japan from the Golden Nine-Tailed Fox, you were enjoying your accumulated paid leave. However, one day, you receive a summons from the Bureau. You are assigned a mission to subjugate the Yokai known as the Four Perils, who have crossed over from the continent.

The Four Perils have established territories across Japan and are waiting for you. Embark on a journey to subjugate the Four Perils alongside your long-time Shikigami partner.

About the Five Elements

The Five Elements are essentially attributes. They consist of five: Fire, Water, Wood, Earth, and Metal. The Five Elements involve the concepts of Mutual Generation (Sojo) and Mutual Overcoming (Sokoku). Mutual Generation is a buff relationship that forms a circle. Wood strengthens Fire, Fire strengthens Earth, Earth strengthens Metal, Metal strengthens Water, and Water strengthens Wood. Mutual Overcoming is a weakness relationship that forms a pentagram. The order is Fire > Metal > Wood > Earth > Water > Fire.

Kuji Goshinbo (The Nine Syllables)

A finishing move. Often called "cutting the nine syllables." While chanting Rin, Pyo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen, you form the corresponding seals with both hands. Using a sword-finger seal (extending only the index and middle fingers), you alternately cut the space in front of you in a grid of 4 vertical and 5 horizontal lines.
