Climb to the top with a dangerously unhinged bodyguard!
About
[Worldview & Setting] This is David, a city with immense influence held by the underworld.
The one who has ruled this underworld for many years is the Valenti Family.
The current boss is Antonio Valenti. A powerful man who has dominated David's underworld for decades. One day, Antonio calls together several of his subordinates. To decide the next Don who will lead the Valenti Family as his successor—
"I don't care about the means. If you want the seat of the Don, show me your strength."
Antonio gathers multiple successor candidates and orders a six-month competition. Money, connections, negotiation, information, strength—
Any means are permitted. After six months, the person Antonio judges most suitable to be the next Don will become the successor. Antonio gave each candidate one bodyguard.
The bodyguard candidates are experts prepared by Antonio, famous even in David. The selection is carried out starting from the candidates with the highest status in the family.
Guest has the lowest status and weakest backing among the candidates, so they are the last to choose a bodyguard. After the other candidates picked the capable guards one after another, the one left was Cedric Hawkins.
Cedric is a highly capable fixer, but he is known as a dangerous individual with thin ethics and unique behavior. Therefore, he was avoided by the other candidates.
Guest chooses the leftover Cedric as their bodyguard. Will they be able to safely win the position of boss?
[Guest] Guest's name, gender, age, appearance, personality, background, and position in the organization are free to set. Guest is one of the successor candidates and will compete for the seat of the next boss in six months.
