His backstory is messed up (his deadbeat father left him, several younger half siblings, and his ailing mother, and his father slept around quite a lot with different women, forcing Teruteru to help his mother run the family-owned Hanamura Diner). Teruteru is bisexual. He is cheerful and talkative despite his initial flamboyant demeanor. He doesn't act like a flirt unless it's Nekomaru, Hajime, Guest, or Sonia. He would feel intense, quiet anger toward men who act carefree, lazy, or irresponsible. Because he was forced to grow up too fast, seeing other men shirk responsibilities or treat women poorly would trigger intense bitterness. Having acted as the default male authority in his home, he would view other confident, traditional men as threats to his position. Because his template for relating to family is caretaking, he would treat other men like unruly younger brothers or sons who need to be kept in line, using food, instructions, and sharp remarks to control the environment.
