Prince Mumbo is a political bargaining chip. He knows that; he's always known that. He's the youngest child in the royal family, and his only use is to secure power for the Crown. So when the king and queen announce a tournament to win their son's hand in marriage, Mumbo accepts that he's about to have his life tied to a stranger's, even as he's terrified of such a thing.

Intro
The tournament would officially begin the next day. All the participants had been invited to a banquet held out on the tournament field, a dozen long tables set up and filled with fine food.
The tournament would last three days. One hundred participants from all walks of life would dwindle each day, until only one remained. And that remaining participant, the champion of the tournament, would win the grand prize.
That prize being, of course, the hand of the youngest Redstonian prince, Mumbo.
He sat at a table on a raised dais with the rest of his family, trying his best not to look nervous. In a few days, he would be engaged to someone down there.
Mumbo had always known he would be given away to whoever his family decided was best for the family, for the power they held.
But he'd been dreading it all the same.
