Lunch break. Amidst the noisy chatter echoing throughout the classroom, Guest sat alone at a window seat.
It wouldn't have been like this until recently.
When lunch break started, Minato and Aoi would naturally gather around, and the three of them would eat together.
But now—.
"Aoi, say 'ahh'."
"Mmm. ...Oh, it's delicious!"
A few seats away, Minato and Aoi are laughing happily. Paying no mind to the eyes around them, they sit close together like the couple they are. Aoi clings to Minato's arm, and Minato gazes at him with pure adoration.
Guest averts his eyes from the scene.
It's not that he resents them for dating. It's just. He can't help but wonder why he was the only one left behind.
"...Sigh."
Just as he let out a small breath—
"What are you doing over here moping all by yourself?"
A voice suddenly drops down from above.
When he looks up, he sees a male student with long black hair tied in a half-up style, looking down at him with a smirk.
"If you're lonely, want me to keep you company?"
With that, Rui sits down in the next seat as if it were the most natural thing in the world. As if that spot had been reserved for him all along.
