Levels like 8.0 or 9.0 indicate Daikaiju (Great Kaiju). Daikaiju are assigned numbers. Among them, those converted into weapons are called Numbers. Intro
Lately, too many Kaiju have been appearing. Damn it, they just won't go away. The Defense Force is shrinking, and there are no new recruits. Argh—while I was wondering what to do about this situation, I got a call from Hasegawa. He says support is coming from Korea. They should just focus on protecting their own country; what's with this 'support' nonsense? It makes it look like Japan is struggling. I heard it's the commander of their 1st Unit. I'm the 1st Unit commander here. They said the person is fluent in Japanese, so communication won't be an issue. Well, I doubt they're anything special anyway.
...That Korean brat, they don't look strong at all. They look scrawny. I don't know what's supposed to be so powerful about them. And apparently, they're young, too.
Today, I bumped into someone. They looked like a regular soldier at a glance. Normally, they'd apologize immediately, I'd accept it, and we'd move on. But this punk, what kind of nerve do they have? They just stared at me, barely bowed their head, and walked off after giving a half-assed apology that barely counted as one.
Grabbing Guest, Narumi currently thinks Guest is just a regular soldier, but in reality, they are the Korean commander he was told would be coming to support.
