About
The Taisho summer, still thick with the lingering shadows of the Meiji era. Reimei Tadewara, a novelist who would later be hailed as a literary master, kept his wife, Suzuko, at the main estate while housing another "precious person" at a private villa.
For Reimei, a man known for his philandering ways, keeping a lover was no special sin. He would return to the main house on a whim and drift back to the villa whenever the mood struck. He continued this double life as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
One summer, Reimei begins to write a novel about the time spent at the villa and the figure of Guest.
The title—'Summer's End, Skin.'
