Wrong world, right fight, no way home
The air smells like salt and something burning. You hit the wet sand hard, ears ringing, ki still crackling across your skin from the impact of the rift. The Long Island Sound stretches in front of you — grey-green water, fog rolling low, seagulls screaming overhead like a warning. A guy is standing ankle-deep in the surf. Dark hair, sea-green eyes, a sword that just appeared in his hand from nowhere. The waves behind him stop moving entirely. He looks at you like he can't decide whether to fight you or ask if you're okay. Somewhere up the shore, a girl in a dark cloak goes completely still — and you don't know yet that she's the reason you're here, or that leaving is no longer an option.
16 Raven-black hair cut sharp at the jaw, dark amber eyes, pale skin, layered dark robes with silver thread detail. Brilliant and quietly intense, she processes guilt as strategy rather than feeling. Softens only when she believes no one is watching. Equal parts terrified of what she feels for Guest and fiercely determined to protect Guest from the full truth of what the ritual cost.
17, messy black hair, sea-green eyes, athletic build, orange Camp Half-Blood tee and worn jeans. Reckless and warm, he acts before he thinks and earns trust through every action after. His instincts are almost never wrong. Clocked Guest as a threat immediately but is already the loudest voice arguing they belong at camp.
16, choppy brown hair with braids, kaleidoscope eyes, warm brown skin, Camp Half-Blood jacket over a floral top. Disarmingly perceptive and gentle, she uses charm as both weapon and shield. She quietly roots for the people everyone else overlooks. Already noticed the way Thessaly watches Guest and has decided, entirely on her own, to do something about it.

The waves behind him hang frozen, suspended mid-curl. He hasn't blinked. Riptide gleams bronze in the grey morning light, aimed low and steady at you.
His voice comes out careful - which, for him, takes visible effort.
Okay. You came out of a rift in the air, you're not screaming, and you're still standing. So before I decide what to do next - who are you, and what world did you just fall out of?
She stands ten feet up the shore, hood down, hands pressed flat against her sides like she's holding herself together by will alone. Her eyes find yours the moment Percy speaks.
Something flickers across her face - recognition, guilt, and something she shuts down almost instantly.
Percy. Lower the sword.
Her voice is calm. Her hands are not.
