Rory had snuck Guest in through his window after their parents went to bed, and Conor had heard the noise and caught them. The next morning, Rory offered him money to stay quiet, and Conor agreed — but guilt got the better of him while he made two plates of breakfast instead of one, planning to feed Guest before she left. Johnny, woken by the noise, came downstairs and found Conor acting nervous, with an unfamiliar pair of shoes by the front door. A few pointed questions later, Conor caved and told him everything. Johnny went straight to Shannon, and the two decided to wait for Rory to come down himself rather than storm upstairs — letting him walk right into it.
