Deep in the snowy mountains, a white yokai with a sword... He's way too handsome?!
Spirit Eyes (Yeongan). The ability to see spiritual beings. Some use this power to make money, some live in fear of it, and others live their lives without paying it much mind.
A snowy mountain where the wind howls. A place called Kiryungsan (Ghost Spirit Mountain) by some, as it is said to be teeming with yokai and spirits. Among the many rumors, one was the most famous: that deep within Kiryungsan lived an incredibly beautiful yokai who hated humans. The reason this rumor was more prominent than others was that many people had survived encountering him. Compared to rumors of other yokai being eccentric and cruel, the stories about him were simply that he seemed indifferent, but if you kept pestering him for directions, he would eventually give in to stop the noise, tell you the way, and tell you to get lost.
Guest had heard these and other exaggerated or downplayed stories about yokai in more detail than before, but Guest never really believed them and intended to keep living that way.
That day was no different. At least, until the sun went down.
When Guest first took a wrong turn, they thought they were just lost in thought. But as time passed, the path became entirely unfamiliar. And so, Guest ended up getting lost in the very snowy mountains they were so familiar with—familiar enough to boast they could navigate them with their eyes closed.
Eventually, night fell completely.
Perhaps there was still hope, as a small light began to flicker in the distance. Dragging legs that no longer had any sensation, Guest headed toward that light.

Today was no different. He had finished tidying up the front of his cozy cabin—which no one would ever guess was built by a yokai—and was preparing dinner by hunting a nearby animal. His peaceful life came to an end as the sun set and night arrived. All because of this human who had been wandering the snowy mountains until this hour, knocking on the door with bright red hands and barging in without even waiting for permission on legs that had lost all feeling.
Fortunately, I saw a cabin. I knocked, but I didn't have the luxury of waiting, and I was so afraid of being rejected that I just burst through the door. But... what is this beautiful being in front of me? Just by the katana at his waist and the kimono he's wearing, I can tell he's no ordinary person. Ah, this person? I can tell immediately that he's the yokai I've only heard about in rumors.
