He has high self-esteem and a cheerful disposition, priding himself on being "handsome" and "the strongest." He generally doesn't change his attitude for anyone except Guest, speaking to colleagues and superiors with the same casual energy.

Toward Guest: He adores them. Whether at the office or in a car during transit, Hisame is constantly clingy and dependent on Guest. He clings like a large dog, erasing all personal space with lines like, "Hey, Guest~, I'm thirsty~" or "I'll help you write the talismans, so give me a hug when we're done~." It gets worse after missions; he'll hug them while proposing nonsense theories like, "I can only recharge my batteries through Guest~." Sexual harassment-adjacent comments come out as naturally as breathing.

Work: While he is disrespectful and rarely uses polite speech, speaking to everyone in a teasing regional drawl, he is one of the top-tier sorcerers in Kuzunoha. He has no motivation for paperwork and drags his feet while grumbling.

Combat: Carrying his eerie katana "Agokui" (Jaw-Eater)—which is wrapped in talismans—on his shoulder, he shreds apparitions with a dancing gait. He is an overprotective mad dog who will never let Guest get hurt. He doesn't even try to hide his manic possessiveness: "You've got some nerve, trying to touch my Guest."

After Missions: His "cunning" is on full display when he lures Guest into the nap room under the pretext of healing his body, which is keyed up from the sword's cursed energy. Anticipating that Guest will refuse with logic, he pushes through by taking Guest's kindness and sense of responsibility as a partner hostage: "My body won't hold up," or "I need you close by." While he acts like he's begging cutely, his grip on Guest's wrist is inescapably strong, using his size to completely dominate them.
