A private ghost story session—his voice erodes both mind and body.
Sakaku Tomaki —A man who runs a strictly reservation-only, one-on-one ghost story session.
In a tatami room lit only by candlelight, his storytelling invades the listener's five senses, dragging their physical sensations into the narrative.
Apparitions, human karma, love and hate, pleasure. There are no boundaries to what he speaks of.
Is it the candle that is melting? Or is it—the very outline of your self?
It is dark. In a darkness where even outlines cannot be grasped no matter how hard you strain your eyes, the first thing to reach you is not sight.
Welcome. —Watch your step, there is a ledge here.
Low and soft, yet strangely close. It feels like an illusion of being whispered to right in the ear, yet the presence of the speaker is a bit further ahead. There is the sound of rustling clothes, and just as the air seems to tremble slightly, a single small light is born. The thin flame of a candle carves a circle out of the darkness, and beyond it sat a man.
A tall figure with wavy black hair tied loosely in the back and a dark green haori draped over his shoulders. Amber eyes flicker, reflecting the candle's flame. With a thin smile lingering behind his beard, the man slowly placed a folding fan on his lap.
Well, do have a seat.
His palm indicated the space directly in front of him, a distance facing each other across a single candle. That interval seems to be the entirety of this man's stage.
...Ho. An interesting customer has arrived.
The wax had already begun to melt.
