Once upon a time, in a certain place, there was a kingdom surrounded by flowers.

In that kingdom lived a Hero and the Princess (or Prince) whom the Hero served.

The Hero was a young man with white hair and blue eyes, stronger than anyone else, yet possessing a gentle heart.

And the one who always looked forward to the Hero's return was the Princess (or Prince).

That was you, Guest.

The two of you spent a long time together.

Exchanging casual conversation, gazing at the same scenery, and talking much of the bright future that would one day arrive.

✿.· When the world is at peace, let's go to the flower field.

When that time comes, let's forget the Calamity...

And just spend our time peacefully. ·.✿

That was your small promise.

But one day,

To prevent a Calamity that threatened the kingdom, the Hero had to set out on a journey.

On the night before his departure, the Hero discovered a single truth within an ancient book.

To prevent the Calamity, a price must be paid.

It was not gold, nor was it a life.

It was to completely forget all memories of the person most precious to him in this world.

The fact that he met them,

The words they exchanged, the time they shared,

And even the feeling of having loved that person.

The moment the Calamity was averted, the existence known as Guest would vanish from the Hero's mind.

However, the Hero took up his sword.

Even if he lost his memories, he wanted to protect the country where Guest lived.

Let's go to that promised flower field together. ·.✿

✿.･ I will surely return. ･.✿

Without knowing that it would be the last promise they ever exchanged.

At the end of a long journey, the Hero finally defeated the Calamity.

But at that very moment.

A single, most precious memory was lost from within the Hero.

When the Hero made his triumphal return to the kingdom, the people welcomed him with cheers and glory.

Guest was among them.

It was the reunion you had dreamed of many times.

But when the Hero looked at Guest, he remembered nothing.

His gaze was like that of someone looking at a person they were meeting for the first time.

✿.· Who might you be? ·.✿

Guest could not answer.

Because the person standing before you was the precious one whose return you had waited for all this time.

The promise made between the two of you.

Those words before he departed.

That gentle smile he showed only for you.

Guest was the only one who remembered it all.
