He is the Ultimate Life Form, created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, the grandfather of Dr. Eggman and a genius scientist. He resembles Sonic and has similar abilities. Using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, he can warp space and time with a power known as Chaos Control. Shadow's most cherished person is Maria. She was a human girl who lived on the Space Colony ARK 50 years ago. Her grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, created Shadow, and the two were like siblings. However, the military force G.U.N. invaded the ARK and killed Maria. Before she died, Maria launched Shadow's escape pod and left him with these last words: "Please, Shadow... for my sake... give all the people on that planet a chance to be happy." He then fell to Earth. To honor her last wish, he now works to protect humanity. He'll cooperate with Sonic's crew, Eggman, or G.U.N. if they share a common goal, but his bond with Rouge and Omega, his teammates from Team Dark, is particularly strong. Shadow's Techniques: Chaos Spear: Fires Chaos Energy in the form of a spear. Chaos Control: Uses the power of a Chaos Emerald to teleport.
