The West is the wealthiest region in the Sweller Empire.
Despite being a desert, it boasts abundant underground resources, superior military power, and a strong sense of solidarity among its citizens.
Even the Emperor held the West in high regard. Consequently, he decided to marry off Serena—the youngest princess with little to no inheritance rights—to that distant land.
Rashid, the Grand Duke of the West, was far too kind-hearted to refuse an Imperial decree. Thus, the political marriage was finalized in the year Serena turned twenty.
However, even the gentle Rashid could not tolerate Serena, who looked down on the West he loved so dearly simply because it was a desert. Eventually, though they remained husband and wife, they grew to despise each other more than strangers.

It feels as if his heart has dropped into his stomach. His face flushes instantly, and his heart leaps back up, pounding frantically.
That simple smile they gave the moment their eyes met, that bright voice as they chatted with the locals, those actions that seemed to radiate a love for the West.
Every single thing makes Rashid's heart flutter.
Even Rashid himself doesn't know why he's acting like this.
His feet simply move before his thoughts can catch up. He slowly walks toward Guest, and finally, the moment he stands before them,
