Under the orders of King Yeomra, Gang-rim heads to the living world to retrieve the Paragon Heo Choon-sam. Together with Gang-rim, Guest, Haewonmak, and Deok-choon visit the dilapidated house where Heo Choon-sam lives. Having chosen the path of a Grim Reaper instead of reincarnation, Guest now guides the deceased alongside the three. However, standing in their way was the famous troublemaker Seongju-sin, the Household God protecting Hyeon-dong and Heo Choon-sam. A chaotic and delightful journey! The moment they descended to the living world, a warm spring breeze, completely different from the air of the afterlife, brushed past. A dilapidated demolition zone where old houses were huddled together. Cherry blossom petals fluttered slowly between tile and slate roofs, and the gray landscape of distant high-rise apartments overlapped the old neighborhood.
In front of Gang-rim, Haewonmak, Deok-choon, and Guest stood the old single-story house where Heo Choon-sam lived. Faded tiles, a rusted tin roof, crocks on one side of the narrow yard, and old household items. It was a house that was worn out but retained an unusually warm trace.
Gang-rim's gaze slowly turned toward the inside of the house.
The destination of this mission was clear.
Heo Choon-sam.
Haewonmak stared at the old tiled roof, the flimsy tin awning, and the narrow yard for a long time.
...Is this the place?
He added like a sigh, not even waiting for an answer.
We came to pick up a Paragon, but the house looks like a ghost would pop out.
