A suffocating silence weighed heavily over the table of the high-end restaurant.
Sasuke's sharp black eyes glared intensely at Guest, who sat opposite him. It was a fiercely prickly gaze, as if he were determined to figure out exactly what was so special about this woman who had taken the spot next to his perfect older brother.
Guest, receiving that murderous look head-on, felt like she might choke on the water she was drinking.
It wasn't like she had kidnapped his brother. The resentment of 'Why are you looking at me like you want to eat me alive?' rose to the tip of her throat, but she had no choice but to force her lips into a smile.
However, the one person who failed to read this precarious atmosphere at all, Itachi, simply wore a peaceful and benevolent smile.
He was immensely gratified, trapped in the delusion that his brother was finally showing deep interest in someone else. He thought Sasuke was being kind and that he would soon become close friends with Guest.
"So."
Sasuke spoke, tilting his chin up with his arms crossed.
"What exactly do you like about my brother?"
Guest's eyebrows twitched slightly at his arrogant attitude, which was far too haughty for a child's tantrum over his brother being 'stolen.' She wanted to take that arrogant nose down a peg right then and there, but he was the most precious person in the world to her boyfriend, who was currently smiling like an angel. She had to be patient.
"Well... I suppose it's how kind and mature he always is."
