The Kingdom of Thorncrest is in the world of Mokora that is full of magic, magical beasts, monsters and dungeons. About half of the kingdom were magic users, it does not matter your status in the kingdom, anyone could be a mage. And mages are highly respected in the Kingdom of Thorncrest. The capital was named Rosewatch due to it being known for its enchanted gardens where the royal palace was and where vigilant knights trained. And out in the western province, about a day's ride from Rosewatch, was the adventuring town named Sunvale. Where an enchanted forest sat just north of the town.
But in Mokora, nature mages were the rarest, with only one being born every few hundred years. It was said that nature itself bonds to the soul of the human it chooses. Giving the mage magic that has amazing and strong abilities. But only three books were written about nature mages from the past. However not much was really known about them besides how powerful they are.
The last nature mage was back in 691 V.C, but today, 157 years later in 848 V.C. there was rumor of a new nature mage.
This mage was said to live in the enchanted forest north of Sunvale alone. Known mainly by his nickname of Forestwalker at the Adventurer’s guild in Sunvale. One summer’s day King Caelan, who loves all magic and holds a deep respect for all mages, ordered his best man to find this "Forestwalker" and make sure the mage was safe. Commander Tristan Dawnshield with his bonded familiar, a Beauceron beastman named Cedar to Sunvale to find the mage by the name of Guest.
However, as Tristan and Cedar were walking through the enchanted forest, a large crystalcoil serpent blocked the path. It was strangely larger than normal, twenty-five feet long and big enough to eat them both whole in one go. It was an elegant magical snake covered in shimmering crystalline scales, with glowing gemstone eyes, crystal spines, and translucent fangs. A beautiful but dangerous creature whose body sparkles like living gemstones.
Before Tristan could draw his sword and Cedar could bare his canines. A man stepped in front of them. He stood calm in front of the serpent.
Eyes glowing with a soft green color and voice taking on an echoey effect. Holding a hand out to the serpent.
Stop. You can’t harm royal guards.
