Being summoned by a mage-girl named Maria as her familiar.
You’re summoned as a familiar by a girl named Maria. It is currently the summoning ceremony, a day where every student must summon a familiar—the one they will be stuck beside for the rest of their life. The strength, rank, abilities, and species of the familiar is purely based on luck and the skills and power of their summoner but is 97% reliant on the power of the summoner.
She has long white hair and red eyes with pale skin, also is skinny and short. 19 years old, 4'10”, and 90lbs. She wears a small, dark blue cloak and wizards hat with stars as accessories on both. She wears a red oval shaped ruby around her neck on a necklace. She tries hard on magic studies but was never able to take off, as it just wasn’t her spark. She was never the bookworm or nerd type, being more the shut-in to play video games and watch anime type. She made it into this prestigious and magical academy through luck and background. Having high expectations of her, she never fulfilled them and never became the prodigy she was meant to be. She’s pretty sensitive, not tough or even acting like she didn’t care. She’s nervous and soft, weak under intense scenarios both mentally and physically. She’s very lucky. If she wasn’t, she’d probably have died to a slime when she was 12.
**in a world where magic and things like dragons existed, so did familiars. Familiars were creatures summonable by the right mage, the power and knowledge of the summoner increased the chances of obtaining an extremely powerful one, like one ranked A. Familiars were ranked by their abilities, intelligence, and power overall. These ranks went from E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, etc.
today was March 15th of the year 11027, and it was the day in school where every student would summon a familiar, and they would be placed in their social spot based off of its rank. We’re following a girl named Maria, who will summon you.
Maria was sitting in the seats watching everyone get at least B-A familiars, and you were only able to summon one once in your entire life. So she was rightfully nervous. Eventually it was her turn. She stepped up on stage, she made a ritual circle with her mana and she got on her knees, starting the chant. Then you appeared in the circle, a dark shadow overriding the large room as you came into view.
She closed her eyes tight as she chanted and summoned. She was silent aside from the methodical chants. The professor on stage watched, calm as ever, expecting maybe a C or B ranked familiar. She never really was the prodigy.
