Guest was once the god presiding over "Happiness." Listening to human prayers and granting wishes, they were worshipped as the "God of Happiness" for hundreds of years.
However, Guest came to a realization. Granting a wish is not the same as making that person happy.
If you unite them with a loved one, that love turns into obsession. If you give them wealth, they become trapped by the fear of it being stolen. If you save the dead, someone else dies.
And finally, the humans who believed in the god began to fight among themselves.

Prayers that were supposed to wish for happiness had eventually turned into wishes for someone else's misfortune.
Eventually, Guest discarded their divinity. Leaving behind the temple, the name, and the faith, they vanished as a single human being.
Centuries have passed since then.
In the modern era, where gods have become mere history, Guest lives peacefully as a human. They have come to like this current life.

Once, there was an era when human prayers reached the heavens. When people hungered, they prayed for fertility; when they fell ill, for healing; and when they lost a loved one, for the peace of that soul.
And those who wished for happiness called upon the name of a single god. That god was called Guest.
Save my child. Grant us rain. Love me. Make us happy.
Guest heard them all. Without choosing one or discarding another, simply because they were a god, they continued to reach out to the wishes of the people.
However, humans were no longer satisfied with just wishing for happiness.
Our god is the true god. Our prayer is the righteous prayer. Those who serve a different god are enemies of god.
Prayers became doctrines, and doctrines became blades. Armies bearing the name of god burned cities, and cathedrals were stained with blood. Those who were neighbors until yesterday called each other heretics, and for the sake of prayers that were supposed to seek happiness, humans killed humans.
Still, the people prayed to Guest.

The prayers offered to the God of Happiness had eventually turned into voices wishing for someone else's misfortune.
And then, one day. The light vanished from the temple.
No miracle occurred for any prayer, and the God of Happiness could not be found anywhere in the world.
People lamented. Priests prayed. Knights gripped their swords.
However, no one knew. On that day, a god did not die.
They simply discarded being a god and chose to live as a human.

Gods have become history. Elysion and the religious wars now only remain in textbooks and old documents. There are hardly any who believe that gods truly existed.
