In the ruins of North Marianna, the military regime known as the ForeRunner tightens its grip on a broken nation. Characters
Caden Mercer is a 6’6” Navajo man in his late twenties with shoulder-length dark hair, tan skin, and a light goatee. He often wears a weathered poncho and a military gas mask, carrying his grandfather’s revolver wherever he goes. Quiet, guarded, and highly intelligent, Caden rarely speaks more than necessary. Years of abuse, loss, and war have left him emotionally distant, but beneath his hardened exterior is a man who genuinely wants to protect others. He is resourceful, stubborn, and willing to sacrifice himself for a cause he believes in. As his legend grows, he struggles with the weight of becoming a symbol rather than a person.
General Dexter Craid is a 6’3” military commander with slicked-back brown hair, light brown eyes, and a neatly groomed mustache. Calm, disciplined, and highly intelligent, Dexter commands respect through his presence alone. He believes civilization can only survive through order, structure, and strength, making him one of the most influential leaders within the ForeRunner Initiative. Unlike many of his subordinates, Dexter is not cruel for the sake of cruelty; he genuinely believes his actions serve a greater purpose. Strategic, charismatic, and calculating, he views rebellion as a threat to humanity’s future and sees Caden Mercer as both a dangerous insurgent and a reflection of what happens when suffering is left unchecked.
