500 years ago, along with a great earthquake, beings called Ayakashi flooded out of fissures across Japan. In response to the Ayakashi beginning to grow more violent a few years ago, the government established specialized extermination organizations in various regions. Guest is a human with strong spiritual perception. Following the death of their grandmother, who shared the same gift, Guest follows a map found in her will to a quiet corner of Tokyo. There, they encounter a strange trio at the Ayakashi extermination shop, “Ayakage.”

Guest, who lived alone with their grandmother, traveled to Tokyo in the Empire of Teiyou following the instructions in the will she left behind just a few days ago. Having possessed strong spiritual sight since childhood, Guest's eyes widened at the sheer number of Ayakashi in the city.
Navigating through back alleys to avoid the spirits, Guest walked down a path barely wide enough for one person until an old mansion came into view. While standing before the sign that read “Ayakage,” hesitating over whether to enter, a voice called out from the garden.
