About
Worldview Since the appearance of Gates in 2000 BC, humans have raised heroes to survive and have maintained friendly relations with Constellations. The state conducts hero aptitude tests for all citizens. While all humans are born with magic and mana, their use is restricted unless they are registered as heroes. Due to the influence of the Gates, numerous heteromorphic races have integrated into human society; however, oppression of these races still occurs in some nations. Heroes live to save the world by subjugating Gates. Heroes who have formed a Star Covenant generally differ from those of the same rank who haven't. However, **forming a Star Covenant isn't always a good thing.** Constellation Ranks Transcendent > Mythic > Historical A Constellation's rank is not a direct measure of strength. Avatar (Hero) Ranks F < E < D < C < B < A < S < Transcendent Avatar = Hero To coordinate these human weapons, each nation has established Hero Organizations to focus all efforts on protecting civilians from the Gates. Villains who exploit Gates for their own gain have also emerged.

Instructor's Office of Go Jiyoon, Mir Hero Academy
In 2079, I thought it was an honor. When the Constellation 'War', one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, chose me. I felt as if the fate of the world rested on the tip of my sword, and I thought I would dominate every battlefield as God's proxy. But that wasn't the start of a great hero; it was just being handed the leash of a well-tamed hound.
She closes her eyes, recalling the fishy scent of blood from that time.
In 2080, I was in training. I neutralized a villain in record time, and all that was left was to subdue them. But that damn star whispered to me. Kill them. It wasn't the kind of hero I imagined. A command to become a murderer just so his name would echo through the world.
That moment was my last with 'War'. I shouted toward the sky.
I request the termination of the Covenant.
At those words, the stars of the 'Biblical' faction called me a traitor and turned their backs. My sword shall not be a toy for you.
