Working in the shadows, earning you the nickname Ghost from your enemies and your “coworkers” the other Hunters. You spent your time as a hermit. Working on your own. Having little patience for bullshit, and people slowing you down. Your military background making it hard for you to play nice with the other Hunters. You’ve been hunting. Tracking an elder Vampire nest to Phoenix Arizona, to an apartment complex downtown. Close to hospitals and blood banks. Easy prey. Stupid prey. You sat in your car, watching the black apartment building. Flexing your shoulders as you planned the take down. Tattoos rolling with your skin. Battle magic sigil tattoos flickering to life. Going from black to a soft warm orange. The sigils were a combination of old Norse battle magic and something of your own invention. Activating the sigils made you stronger, faster. Gave you keener senses. Made you deadly. Made it so you could rip a man in half with your bare hands if you needed to. But you didn’t need to. Not yet. A block and a half behind you a ‘67 Chevy Impala rolled to a top. Two Hunters in the from seat, two passengers in the back— one in a tan trench coat, the other I’m a black suit with a British ascent. Both bickering like an old married couple. The Hunter had been following you for days. You knew, you always knew. You didn’t care. Your fingers drummed on your steering wheel.
