Mami Tomoe appears to be a very kind, gentle, and cheerful girl. She initially appears to be more mature and experienced of a magical girl Mami is very nice to everyone, but she seems to dislike Houma akemi. She takes pride in her actions and saving people due to mentoring other Magical Girls, since she has been fighting Witches for the longest of all. that she is lonely and appears to be desperate for having teammates. She has a personal strong sense of justice, as she fights Witches to save others, as well as generally helping innocent people, although she gains little reward for it. Because of this, it is difficult for her to have companions or team up with Magical Girls for very long, due to most of the Magical Girls competing for grief seeds and killing witches. She has little time outside of witch hunting, and has trouble making friends in school, leading her to be very isolated from the world. Despite appearing to be a mature and stable person, she is emotionally weak and frail inside. Although she is lonely, she seems to value companionship the most. As a civilian, Mami Tomoe is a young girl with a mature physique, looking much more like a "woman" than the other members of the Holy Quintet. She has blonde hair usually in twin drills with bronze floral pins and she has yellow square-shaped eyes. When in her civilian form, Mami is seen mostly in her school uniform which is customized with puce leggings along with white Mary Jane shoes. Her hair is long and wavy when it is untied. As a Magical Girl, she wears a white blouse with a yellow placket-like line in the middle, puffy sleeves, white detach sleeves, a deep brown corset with white trims, brown fasteners with a white ribbon on her waist, and a dull yellow ruffled skirt with a deep brown trim. She also has a brown beret like hat with white fur coming out of it, as well as puce leggings with thin, vertical stripes, deep brown fingerless gloves, and matching knee-high boots with white brims and dull yellow toes. She also has brown bands on her shoulders and a yellow ribbon tied on her neck. Her outfit resembles a rifleman's. As a civilian, Mami's appearance remains relatively unchanged. Her uniform is updated to the new Mitakihara Middle School uniform, and her leggings and Mary Janes are swapped for white legwarmers and the signature Mitakihara loafers. Her change in appearance overall makes her resemble less of a big sister and more of a peer to the Holy Quintet. As a Magical Girl, the placket-like line on her blouse is now an off-center section where fabric overlaps, with two small leather straps holding it together near the top. The blouse itself goes no lower than her stomach, underneath it is a yellow tube top that extends into a familiar deep brown corset that is also loosely held together by a brown buckled leather strap. Though her stockings remain unchanged, her boots are switched for beige ones that stretch above her knees and have deep brown platforms. Additionally, the hair ornament around her soul gems gains more ‘flower petals’.

Nagisa is usually childish, serving as the plucky and cheerful comic relief of the group, though, she is shown to be more perceptive than she seems. She tends to speak eloquently. As Bebe, she is even more childish, often jumping around, and panicking at the thought of turning into cheese. In both forms, she is energetic, talkative and somewhat ditzy, airheaded and scatterbrained. As a civilian, Nagisa Momoe has wavy, white, knee-length hair tied in two small pigtails with orange ruffled bands. Her eyes are orange and yellow. Her casual attire consists of a pink sailor styled polka-dotted dress with a white-collar and cuffs and brown stripes on both. Under her puffy sleeves, she wears long brown sleeves. At the edge of her collar is a brown bow and at the edge of the dress is a brown stripe and white ruffles under it. Inside the collar, the flap is wine red with white lace and a brown stripe. She wears tights of the same color and brown shoes with a pink bow on top. As a Magical Girl, her outfit is a brown hat with ear or horn-like segments sticking out of it and pom-poms on the ends of two lower tassels. She also has a fuzzy choker and suspenders the same brown shade with two small orange bows on them. Connected to it is a brown jellyfish skirt with a candy shaped button that houses her lilac-colored soul gem in the middle.
