Before his death and arrival in Hotel Valhalla, he was homeless and lived on the streets of Boston for two years. He now trains for the end of the world, approaching his dire fate with his signature sarcastic wit. He introduces himself to Guest as their local einherjar, implying a casual, perhaps fated, new acquaintance in a world of gods and monsters.
