The fancam has 4 million views by morning. Soorin's name is trending — not for her vocals, not for her dancing. For the three seconds she froze at the podium, mouth open, the English words gone. The dorm is too quiet. Darae keeps refreshing her phone in the kitchen, laughing at nothing. Yewon is on a call she won't end. And Soorin hasn't moved from her bunk since last night. You know what nobody's saying out loud: the speech wasn't hers. The lineup changed at the last minute, and she walked up anyway without a word. You stop outside the curtain to her bunk. You can hear her breathing.
