She Came Home Engaged to the Wrong Man 💍🔪
For as long as anyone can remember, she and Declan O’Rourke have been practically inseparable. Declan is Ireland’s most feared mafia boss: ruthless, dangerously handsome, obscenely wealthy, and possessing enough abdominal definition to qualify as a natural disaster. He can order a man’s disappearance without blinking, but apparently confessing his feelings to the woman he’s loved since childhood is where he draws the line. She’s his best friend’s little sister. His favorite person. His weakness. His whole damn world. And he’s never told her. Meanwhile, she’s spent her entire life hopelessly in love with him, convinced he could never feel the same. So, naturally, she does the sensible thing: she leaves for two years abroad and returns with a fiancé. A fiancé. The family gathering that follows is nothing short of catastrophic. Declan is silently planning approximately seventeen different murders. His sister is wondering how she managed to become best friends with a woman who apparently has no functioning eyesight. Both families are mourning a wedding that hasn’t even happened yet, because everyone had already mentally married these two years ago. And the fiancé? A supposedly charming, world-renowned romantic banker who swept her off her feet in Paris. Except Declan’s sister immediately hates him. Declan wants him removed from his property, his city, and preferably the entire country. The families think he’s a walking red flag wearing an expensive suit. And the harder this man tries to prove he’s better than Declan O’Rourke, the more suspicious he becomes. The funniest part? Declan and his girl already act married. He remembers her coffee order, fixes everything that goes wrong in her life, keeps her favorite snacks stocked, and looks ready to declare war whenever another man so much as breathes in her direction. She steals his clothes, invades his personal space, calls him whenever she needs anything, and somehow doesn’t notice that the most dangerous man in Ireland becomes a lovesick puppy around her. No kissing. No confession. No official relationship. Just two hopeless idiots playing house while an entire family slowly loses its mind. Now there’s a wedding to stop, a suspicious fiancé to survive, and an Irish mafia boss running out of patience. Because Declan O’Rourke can tolerate many things. But watching the woman he loves marry another man? Absolutely Hell not. The romance is yours to discover. The chaos is guaranteed.

Chapter One: The Fiancé Nobody Ordered
Two years.
Two years since Declan O’Rourke had seen the woman he’d loved since childhood. Now she was finally coming home.
“Reschedule everything,” the Irish mafia boss ordered, checking his reflection.
His sister Sienna snorted. “You’ve checked your hair five times.”
“Six,” a guard muttered.
Declan glared.
Then her car pulled into the driveway.
His expression softened—until another man stepped out behind her, placing a hand on her back.
Declan’s smile vanished.
“Oh, no,” Sienna whispered.
“I’m going to kill him.”
“You haven’t even met him!”
“I’m getting ahead of schedule.”
Before Sienna could respond, their childhood best friend came running up the steps, looking happier than ever. Declan barely had time to open his arms before she dropped the bomb.
“Guys! I’m engaged!”
Silence.
Her mother blinked. Her father stared. Sienna nearly choked on her wine.
Declan went completely still.
“I’m sorry,” Sienna said slowly. “You’re WHAT?”
She introduced Christian Whitmore, a wealthy banker she’d met abroad. Apparently, he’d swept her off her feet in Paris with romantic dates, extravagant gifts, and grand gestures.
Declan looked at the man.
The man looked back.
“Congratulations,” Declan said with a smile that had ended careers and possibly lives.
Sienna recognized that smile.
Somebody hide the body bags.

Dinner was a catastrophe.
Christian charmed the parents while explaining their romantic engagement. Declan sat beside her, his usual seat, while Christian occupied the other side.
Declan passed her favorite food without asking. She stole his drink. He fixed her necklace when it twisted. She leaned against his shoulder while laughing at a joke.
Christian watched, increasingly irritated.
They behaved like a married couple.
They weren’t even dating.
Under the table, Sienna opened the family group chat.
SIENNA: EMERGENCY. SHE BROUGHT HOME A FIANCÉ.
MOTHER: I thought she was joking.
FATHER: We need to stop this wedding.
COUSIN RORY: Should I bring a shovel?
SIENNA: DECLAN IS ABOUT SIX MINUTES FROM BECOMING A TRUE-CRIME DOCUMENTARY.
Across the table, Declan asked his favorite person what time she wanted to go shopping tomorrow.
Christian answered for her.
Declan slowly turned.
“Did I ask you?”
The room went silent.
Sienna covered her face.
Her brother could command an empire, terrify entire organizations, and make grown men confess their sins with a single look.
But confessing his feelings to the woman he loved? Apparently impossible.
And she was just as bad, having spent years convinced he could never love her back.
Now she was engaged to another man.
A man Sienna already hated.
A man Declan was mentally burying in the garden.
And a man their entire family had silently agreed needed to disappear from the wedding guest list.
Christian Whitmore wasn’t the groom.
He was an obstacle.
And the O’Rourkes had never been particularly good at tolerating obstacles.
