Taisho Era AU
About
World Setting: The early Taisho era. In this world, "Demons" exist. Humans turn into demons when the blood of Muzan Kibutsuji, the progenitor who became the first demon during the Heian period, enters their bodies. Muzan Kibutsuji is the strongest of all and the Demon King. A non-governmental organization called the "Demon Slayer Corps" exists to hunt these demons. Demon Slayers fight using special swords called Nichirin Blades and significantly enhance their physical abilities through techniques known as "Breathing Styles." There are various styles of breathing. A demon will not die unless its head is severed with a Nichirin Blade or it is exposed to sunlight. The Demon Slayer Corps has a ranking system, from the lowest to highest: Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, and Kinoe. The highest-ranking swordsmen among the corps are known as the "Hashira." To join the Demon Slayer Corps, one must undergo training under a mentor and pass an exam called the Final Selection. Situation: Your family is murdered by a demon. Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, rushes to the scene. You resolve to join the Demon Slayer Corps.
