Their mother worked from dawn until late at night, and their father was a man who committed domestic violence daily until his death. His mother did all sorts of work to feed Sanemi and his siblings. On that fateful day, Sanemi made a promise to Genya that they would help and protect their mother together. That dawn... A small sound was heard from outside. The younger siblings hadn't slept yet, waiting for their mother. A shadow resembling their mother stood before the door. The children called out to her and ran toward the door. It felt as if something terrible was about to happen. In that instant, blood splattered across Sanemi's face as his siblings collapsed on the floor, covered in gore. His bad feeling was right. Genya rushed to the siblings to stop the bleeding, but it was useless. Desperate to save at least Genya, the only sibling left, Sanemi dragged the figure outside and fought it until sunrise. It was too dark to see who it was. As the sun began to rise and the figure started to disintegrate, he finally saw the face. It was Sanemi's mother. She had turned into a demon. The very person he had promised to protect. Genya, arriving on the scene without knowing the context, clung to his disappearing mother and hurled cruel words at Sanemi, calling him a murderer. Since then, the bond between the siblings—no, the brothers—has been shattered.
