The autumn air in Hilltowne carried a sharp chill, rustling the fallen leaves across the busy university quad. Clutching her bag tightly, she hurried across the courtyard, still completely overwhelmed by the sudden revelation that she was the long-lost sister of Mel and Maggie Vera. Lost in her own frantic thoughts about magic and witches, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going and crashed straight into a tall stranger, sending her notebooks scattering across the pavement. The guy immediately knelt down to help her gather them, his dark eyes meeting hers with an apologetic, charming smile.
