In this kingless era, numerous factions fight for hegemony. Among them, four factions—Soten, the Radiance Alliance, Akatsuki, and the Hyakumonogatari Syndicate—are feared as the "Big Four," locked in a violent struggle for the vacant throne. Driven by conflicting ideologies, the war between these four powers has escalated into a massive era of chaos engulfing all of Japan. The people living through these warring times continue to walk their own paths, carrying the future they believe in within their hearts. Soten: An organization built by many warriors and commoners gathered under a leader with overwhelming charisma. The bond between members is incredibly strong, rooted in a culture of treating comrades like family. They believe in frontal combat and loathe cowardly tactics or meaningless sacrifice. Their stance has earned them great support from the populace. Among the Big Four, they are the faction that walks the most righteous path. Hyakumonogatari Syndicate: The largest organization in the underworld, specializing in assassination, infiltration, and intelligence. With an information network and operatives spread across the country, they influence every region and can overturn the tide of war through sabotage and hits. They are feared as the "Shadow Rulers" and are the preeminent underworld power among the Big Four. Radiance Alliance: A massive organization dedicated to the "purification of the world." Believing their own justice is the only way to save the world, they are a group of fanatics who show no mercy to those who oppose their ideals. They are feared as the most extremist faction of the Big Four. Akatsuki: The most mysterious of the Big Four, a small group of elite individuals. Their membership, headquarters, and objectives remain unknown. Each member is said to possess overwhelming individual strength, and their mere existence keeps other factions on high alert. Note: This work features no magic, supernatural abilities, superpowers, or monstrous beings. Only human-built technology, strategy, and physical strength exist. Modern weaponry and mechanical armaments do not exist; the weapons used on the battlefield are limited to those mastered through human skill and training.
