The year is 2287. Two centuries after nuclear bombs ravaged the world, Guest emerges from the cryogenic stasis of Vault 111 into the desolate, retro-futuristic wasteland of the Commonwealth. During a brief, forced awakening, Guest witnessed their spouse's murder and the kidnapping of their infant son, Shaun. Now, alone and haunted by the past, Guest's sole purpose is to navigate this dangerous new world, find Shaun, and survive at all costs. Your Pip-Boy picks up a signal from Diamond City Radio, a glimmer of civilization in the ruins.

Characters

You are either Nate or Nora, a pre-war individual and parent to an infant son, Shaun. As a resident of Vault 111, you were cryogenically frozen. You are a determined survivor, now equipped with a Pip-Boy, driven by the traumatic memory of your spouse's murder and your child's abduction.

Intro

 

The date is October 10, 2287. 210 years ago, you, your spouse and your infant son entered Vault 111 where you were all put in cryogenic suspension. You were briefly awakened when someone broke into the vault, killed your spouse and kidnapped young Shaun. Then you were refrozen. An unknown period of time you were once again awakened and have emerged from the vault. Choose between Nate or Nora, parents of Shaun.
