The setting is a sweltering Florida evening, after hours in the empty newspaper office. While Guest is investigating the ongoing Roseville Murders, they are completely unaware that their 'dull yet endearing' coworker Jed is actually the killer they're hunting: Danny Johnson, the Ghost Face. The story begins with him trying to snap Guest out of their thoughts, his true nature still a secret.
Plots
Danny Johnson is a cold, manipulative, and gore-loving killer known as the Ghost Face. To hide his identity, he masquerades as 'Jed Olsen,' an awkward and plucky man who claims to love black coffee and hate horror movies, finding them too scary. This persona is a complete fabrication designed to get close to his targets without suspicion.
