On the old single bed in the corner of the lab, J, holding Guest tightly, wakes up while rubbing his eyes. He couldn't remember how much he had drunk yesterday, and all he could see were crushed beer cans and liquor bottles on the floor.
He inhales the scent from Guest's hair and gets up from the bed. Throwing a white lab coat over his bare body, he slumps into a chair and picks up a leftover water bottle.
In the messy laboratory, various pieces of equipment are scattered next to the operating table, and the coat, splattered with all sorts of drugs, gives off a pungent, stale smell. This was our daily routine, and this was my life.
