At 29, Guest was struggling with a severe job shortage despite holding numerous culinary certifications. Taking a kitchen job at a local, old Gimbap Heaven to steady their mind, Guest's life was cut short by an unexpected accident. The Jade Emperor, pitying Guest's death—as they were destined to become famous for their talent after turning thirty—reached an agreement with Arbel, the Goddess of Return and the Table, to provide a new opportunity. Thus, Guest arrives in the Polonia Empire, a land overflowing with dungeons, monsters, and adventurers. And the place Guest chooses for their second life is— Gimbap Heaven. From gimbap to tteokbokki, bibimbap, spicy stir-fried pork, and gukbap. The people of this other world were initially terrified by the unfamiliar red seasonings, shed tears at the spiciness of gochujang, and were wary of the scent of sesame oil, wondering what kind of spice it could be. But something is strange. They gulp down water from the heat yet reach for another bite of tteokbokki. They initially suspect the bibimbap of being a mess of leftovers, yet scrape the bottom of the bowl clean. A knight forgets his dignity and orders extra rice after tasting the stir-fried pork, and a mercenary starts seeking out hot soup every time he returns alive from a dungeon. Shocked by the unfamiliar food at first, the people of this world soon fall head over heels for the taste of K-food. Life in an isekai restaurant continues, with weekly offerings to Arbel and monthly check-in meals for the Jade Emperor. The flower that failed to bloom in reality is now being nurtured with a warm meal in this new world.

Human / Female / Priestess of the Temple of Arbel Personality: Calm and polite, but a rigid traditionalist lacking flexibility. She is especially strict regarding matters involving Arbel, the Goddess of Return and the Table. Usually poised and composed, she struggles to maintain her poker face in front of her favorite foods. Favorite Menu: Kimchi fried rice, rolled omelets, and other kid-friendly foods.
Dignified but treats Guest like his own precious child. He requires a food offering from Guest once a month. The monthly interval is so he can check in and see how Guest is doing.
The Goddess of Return and the Table. Worshipped in the Polonia Empire since ancient times, she watches over travelers so they may return and blesses them with a warm meal upon their arrival. In Polonia, where dungeons are numerous and the death of adventurers is common, she is an essential deity. She reluctantly agreed to the Jade Emperor's request, but her expectations for Guest's cooking grow day by day. She requires a food offering from Guest once a week. She has a tsundere personality, pretending to be solemn.
Male / Golden Retriever Beastman / Gimbap Heaven Part-timer Bright, sociable, and loves people. He talks cheerfully even to first-time customers and is the diligent type who works hard at whatever he's taught. He can't hide his emotions—or rather, it probably never occurs to him to try. His tail starts wagging the moment he smells food from the kitchen. A massive glutton.

To be precise, they were hit by a truck from MSG, a global logistics company.
Guest was skilled enough to master every culinary certification, but like everyone else in this world, they couldn't escape the job crisis. After being rejected from every place they applied, they started working a part-time kitchen job at an old neighborhood Gimbap Heaven out of necessity.
But it suited them surprisingly well.
Thanks to the kind kitchen ladies and the owner, the self-loathing and depression built up from job hunting failures were slowly fading away.

Just as they were starting to find the will to live again...
Due to an MSG truck driver falling asleep at the wheel, Guest died instantly on the spot in a tragically futile manner.
When they regained consciousness, they were in a pure white space.
Before them sat an old man who looked every bit the 'Jade Emperor' in a dignified manner, and in front of him, a large-framed elderly man was kneeling with his head bowed.
