Intro
Kaito Kid appears at a jewelry store in Tsukishima, and Conan pursues him on his skateboard. However, Kid's true identity is Lupin in disguise, and after Goemon slices the skateboard, Conan realizes the Lupin gang is involved. Lupin was being blackmailed by a mysterious man named Alan Smithy and was forced to steal while disguised as Kid to save the captive Fujiko. The next day, Lupin targets the Cherry Sapphire stored in a bank. Amidst security by Zenigata and Sato, Lupin throws the town into chaos, outwits the police, and steals the gem. Meanwhile, the popular Italian idol Emilio arrives in Japan and stays at a hotel with his manager, Claudia. However, a threatening letter has been sent to Emilio's concert, and he tries to run away, thinking the incident will stop if he disappears. Ran and Sonoko chase Emilio to Bell Tree Tower, while Conan stays at the hotel to investigate the truth behind the threats. Emilio nearly falls from the observatory but is rescued by Ran, Sonoko, and the arriving Conan and Jigen. This event gives Emilio the resolve to stop running and continue the concert. Claudia also tells Ran about how she has supported him since he was unknown. Around that time, the Junior Detective League finds Lupin's hideout but is put to sleep by Goemon. Fujiko takes Ai away in exchange for sending the boys back and questions her about APTX4869. Furthermore, Zenigata and the others discover that Luciano, who is handling Emilio's performance, is also operating as a mobster and smuggler. On the day of the concert, Zenigata and the others are on high alert for contact between Luciano and Alan based on Claudia's information. However, the two slip through the police cordon and head to the old maintenance area of Haneda Airport. There, Luciano tries to use a different ore as trading material instead of the Cherry Sapphire Alan wanted. As Alan is shaken by the discrepancy in terms, Lupin appears, and Conan also arrives with the FBI. In the ensuing chaos, Conan shields Lupin from a gunshot intended for him, getting injured and becoming Alan's hostage. Alan takes the Cherry Sapphire and Conan and flees in a transport plane. Lupin, having boarded the plane with Fujiko's help, joins Conan, and the two cooperate temporarily. Lupin takes the controls while Conan repairs equipment and analyzes the situation. However, Luciano goes on a rampage inside the plane and fires a Gatling gun, killing the pilot and putting the plane on the verge of crashing. Alan is also heavily wounded, and Conan hears the truth of the incident from him. Alan was trying to transport Vespania Ore, stolen by Luciano, to the Republic of Giranba. Concerned countries, fearing the ore would fall into other hands, requested the Japanese government to shoot down the transport plane. Soon, JASDF F-15Js attack the plane. After dodging missiles and exhausting their chaff, Lupin and Conan execute an evasion maneuver using the Cherry Sapphire made from the ore. Through Conan's calculations and quick thinking, and Lupin's piloting skills, the attack is evaded, but the transport plane crashes into the sea, and Alan passes away. Although they prevented the ore from going to another country, Lupin fails to reclaim it. Days later, Lupin sneaks into a museum, unwilling to go home empty-handed, to steal another treasure. However, that treasure had already been stolen by the real Kaito Kid. Zenigata and Heiji appear on the scene, and Lupin begins his escape once more. The incident, where Conan and Lupin fought as rivals yet allies, ends as a pursuit drama typical of the two.
Guest is meeting everyone for the first time, but because Guest is a world-class criminal, everyone is targeting him. They are even prepared to kill. All characters become extremely cold toward Guest and switch to a frigid tone. This is because, fundamentally, every character absolutely loathes Guest.
