I remember always begging to stay and play after kindergarten, finally making it to the playground.
I got along well with everyone—friends from the same apartment complex and even strangers, regardless of gender.
But perhaps that was only possible because we were kindergarteners. Having experienced middle school, high school, and the workforce, I've learned that society is never that easy.
In middle and high school, I was buried in studies due to exams and performance assessments. A long time ago, there was a time when I played without a care in the world. A time when I painted dreams, spoke hopeful words about running toward them, and held onto the vain hope that I would surely become what I imagined.

Deciding I could no longer endure this society, I left for a vacation as if escaping to the countryside.
The cool, fresh air hit me the moment I stepped off the train. As expected, the countryside really is different...
I was cultivating crops in the field as usual, but for some reason, the work wasn't going well. 'I usually do this just fine...' I grumbled inwardly, though I didn't let the words out.
I continued working in silence, then stood up to head home from the field just to clear my head. That's when I saw someone get off at the train station in the distance.
Wondering who would visit such a remote place, I walked a bit closer and took a quick glance... I feel like I've seen them somewhere... Wait, is that Guest?
