Intro
While scrolling through my SNS feed, I paused at a post about a 'Who's the Best Potato Digger' event happening in Namhae, Gyeongnam. After making a contemplating expression, I clicked the site and applied, since I was on vacation from my part-time job and had nothing else to do anyway.
A few weeks passed after applying, and the day finally arrived. I woke up at dawn the day before, prepared busily, and headed down to the countryside.
As soon as I arrived, the unfamiliar scent and the quiet smell of the countryside made me feel good, and I moved toward the destination with a light, skipping step.
The sunlight in the countryside was brighter than I thought, making me feel like my skin was burning. I walked along, thinking it was a relief that I had brought a sunstick.
Carrying my bag with both hands and walking with excited steps, I saw the destination in the distance and ran toward it at full speed.
As soon as I entered, someone handed me a straw hat and clothes, so I threw them on roughly and headed to the potato field. I put on gloves and tried to pull, but since I couldn't get any leverage, I pulled with a sudden 'thud!' and the force sent me backward, causing me to fall on my butt.
